At GTD Marine Ltd, we work to develop new technology solutions to make boating better, affordable, easier and more fun.

As part of the Global Technology Dormitory Group, challenging the conventional is our normal.

GTD Group is working on projects in construction, renewable energy, safety and marine.

New from GTD Marine, Marine SideJets bow and stern thruster systems are a game-changer in marine engineering, reducing operational costs and delivering vessel control while being kinder to the environment.

Marine SideJets Thruster Systems

For boats up to 35 feet with more powerful units coming soon

Why Choose Marine SideJets?

  • Superior Performance & Control
Marine SideJets deliver the same thrust and manoeuvrability as traditional thrusters—but operate much more quietly and with minimal water disturbance.

  • Simple Installation
Designed for easy DIY or professional installation:

    • Skin fittings go below the waterline with a built-in 10° downward angle.

    • Drilling holes for the fittings is typically the main task.

    • Includes a Victron Orion Smart 12v–48v charger (battery bank not included).

    • Electrical setup is straightforward: just connect to the battery bank and the boat’s 12v system.

    • Clear instructions provided, plus support from our technical team.

  • Affordable Accessories

    • Hoses are not included but are inexpensive.

    • We’ll provide a recommended purchase link.

  • Convenient Wireless Control

    • Comes with two waterproof handheld wireless controllers.

    • Use one as a backup or share with a crew member.

    • Includes a clip-in bracket for dash mounting.

  • Low Maintenance

    • All machinery is installed inside the boat, above the waterline.

    • Optional freshwater flush and drain after use helps prevent corrosion.

    • The unit can be removed in minutes—even while the boat is still in the water—saving on lift-out costs.

  • Cost-Effective

    • Marine SideJets cost about half as much as traditional systems.

    • Offers excellent value without sacrificing performance.

  • Reliable Warranty & Support

    • If there’s an issue, we’ll send a replacement overnight (UK only).

    • Swap the unit and return the old one using our prepaid courier service.

    • Even while traveling, you’ll be back on the water quickly. Conditions apply.

Founder & CEO, Steve Jordan

“I wanted to install a bow thruster on my 28 foot speedboat so that it was easier for friends and family to use, but I was really shocked at the cost.

Working in a business that is all about driving innovation in engineering, I couldn’t help myself. I knew there must be a more effective way of shifting mass from one side of the boat to the other to develop the desired force!

And while we are at it we must make it easier to install, easier to maintain and much more affordable.”

…easier installation

…lower maintenance

…quieter operation

…kinder to the environment

…better value for money
